Melanie Woods won the T54 1500m at Scotstoun on Wednesday, posting a championship-record time to take gold for Scotland on home soil.

The wheelchair racer settled into the front group through the opening laps, then drove clear on the final back straight. No rival matched her closing 400m, and she crossed the line well inside the previous Commonwealth Games best for the T54 classification.
